Layin' down some rhythm for Limited Slip

This summer, I'll be helping my buddies out by playing some bass for them.  This is a great group of guys and as you can see, we have a lot of laughs.  Here we are, practicing for an upcoming gig.

So much music....so little time!

Here are a few pics of some gigs that I've been to recently.  Here's Kevin, drummer for the Rock Show backstage at Downtown Tavern, Bedford, IN.  Notice the "wall of shame" behind us.  So much smack talked on those walls.

Here's DConn of the Rock Show.  This was a gig in Linton, IN at Bottoms Up.

Kevin again, I believe this was in Terre Haute, IN.

Tony D of the Rock Show, Terre Haute, IN

Shred Lee, or as I like to call him, Shredalicious.  Hard to find a better lead guitarist.

DConn, swingin'.

After a gig, having some breakfast at what Sly refers to as a "Pickle Park," a truck stop near Terre Haute, IN.

This shot cracks me up!  Tony D and Shred.  Shred insists that Tony D jumped in front of him to get in the picture, which he probably did.

Takes a lot of gear to run the Rock Show.

Sly, Todd "The Foot" Taylor and DConn loading in at Terre Haute.

The Foot!  Running lights that night.

Sound provided by Sly.  He refers to himself as being "flamboyant."  I just think he's a stooge.

New band

Got to jam the other night with the guitar player for my new band.  We worked very well together.  Very excited about this new chapter.

Tattoos

I started working on my sleeve in 2008 and had the majority of it done in 2009.

Piece by piece it came along.

Rigs

This is my primary rig.
Used this rig for a couple of years until I blew out the bottom speaker.  Got it replaced and now I'm up and running again with two reliable set ups.  Use my GK head for both.

Practice makes perfect

This is what about three days of intense practice looks like!  HAHA!

Sixx AM

Nikki Sixx and Sixx AM.  I met lead singer James Michael many moons ago when he was a solo artist.  I interviewed him for a project (in my former life I was a music journalist) and he was such a great guy.  I recently hooked up with him on Facebook and he's still a sweet guy...love it when that happens.  Congrats!!!!! to James on much success.

Marco Mendoza

One of my fav bass players.  Not only is this man super talented but he knows how to put on a great show.  See him now with Thin Lizzy and pick up some DVD's that he is in with Whitesnake and the Nuge...Ted Nugent.  You'll love to watch him work the crowd.

Love me some DConn!

This is DConn from the Rock Show.  I love this guy!  He makes me laugh.

Limited Slip

Also hit a show this weekend by another group of great guys, the boys from Limited Slip out of Mitchell, IN.  Here they were playing the Bloomington Eagles.  They are a classic rock band that I first met when my former band was competing in a classic rock band competition at the French Lick Resort Casino in French Lick, IN.  We both made it to the final four bands and then got eliminated in the semi's.  We've been in contact ever since.  I love it when bands can compete with each other but still come out of it and support each other.

Rumor Factor

Over the weekend I went to an old friend's gig in Elletsville, IN.  This is Todd Scott and the band is Rumor Factor.  Known Todd for ages.  If you haven't seen them, GO.  Great talent in this band and Todd's stage presence is electric.
